This Athlete Profile from Travel Alberta captures Skimo Canada athlete Kylee Toth, training in the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains she calls home. Kylee balances work, motherhood, and elite sport as she trains to represent Canada on the world stage.
Kylee and her Skimo Canada teammates are neck-and-neck with the USA, battling for one Olympic spot. The next ISMF World Cup in Solitude, Utah, December 6-7, will decide which nation gets Americas continental spot for ski mountaineering at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
The athlete profile follows Kylee through the landscapes that shaped her:
“When I’m standing up there, I don’t feel like I’ve conquered the world… I feel awe, humility, and respect for that terrain.”
It also reflects the support behind her: friends who see her loyalty, family who admire her determination, and teammates who consider her a role model who has “paved a path for us to follow.”
Now, Kylee and Team Canada face a decisive test. If her story inspires you, please consider supporting the Canadian athletes fighting for our place at the Olympic Games.
