Ski Mountaineering Competition Canada is growing up, and we want to tell you all about it on Friday January 19 at 6:30PM MST!
Over the past 12 months, a major organisational overhaul has taken place and we’re proud to say that SMCC is now an independent, not for profit national sport organisation – formally recognized by the ISMF, Sport Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee. However, this change hasn’t been without its growing pains. We know many members of the skimo community have questions, and we’re here to answer them!
To explain the current transition, including what’s been done, where we’re heading and what it means for our athletes, community and stakeholders: we’re hosting an open town hall over Zoom on Friday, Jan 19. Matt Reid, Annalise Van Ham and Brent Harris are our interim board of directors and they’ll be on hand to give a presentation and answer every question they possibly can.
We’d like to guarantee your question gets answered, so we’re trying to collect as many as possible in advance. If you already know of a question you’d like to ask, please submit it via Instagram or Facebook DM, or this submission form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd7d1MqPgFHRrGHnAYX81jO0OjwheTcvePbBrxHeXBJUMZbiQ/viewform
We’re excited to tell you what we’ve been up to and hear from everyone who is able to attend! If you can’t make it to the town hall, we’ll record it so you can watch it later. Please find the Zoom registration link and agenda below. See you on the 19th!
